Is It Worth It? – Hourglass Vanish Stick Foundation

This stick foundation has been on the market for a little while now, and I thought I would share my thoughts on the new product.

Like most stick foundations, this one is a swivel-up, though the shape of the stick itself is triangular rather than the standard circle. The design’s supposed to help with application in spots like around the nose and eyes, though we found it didn’t make a big difference.
This fragrance-free formula is heavily pigmented, meaning a little goes a long way! If you’re looking for sheer coverage, only dot on the slightest amount over moisturizer or primed skin. You can build to medium and eventually full coverage that sets to an attractive, slightly dewy finish.

As far as wear, this holds up remarkably well throughout the day without fading or creasing.

Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stick comes in a good range of shades for fair to deep skin, with options for warm, cool, and neutral undertones. All in all, this is a stick foundation worth checking out!

Easy to apply.

Heavily pigmented formula allows versatile coverage.

Attractive, slightly dewy finish.

Wears without fading

Good range of shades.

Not waterproof as claimed

The foundation does transfer on to my hands when I touch my face

The price- especially if this is your go to foundation.

Creases into my smile lines- but I always have that issue

Overall I recommend this product if you’re willing to splurge the money.

Review: Huda Beauty Rose Gold Palette

This palette was created by a YouTuber/Instagrammer, Huda Khattan who is know as Huda Beauty.

The Rose Gold Palette is quite extensive, comprised of 18 shadows with both shimmery and matte finishes. The shades range from warm neutral tones like rosy pink, yellow gold, taupe, and copper, to pops of color such as bubblegum pink, olive green, and pastel yellow. I was already sold on the palette the moment I saw what’s inside, but after laying eyes on the arm swatches, it has risen to the very top of my wish list.

The mattes are highly pigmented, and the shimmery shadows are intensely shiny. It’s pretty awesome how the brand has demonstrated all the colors on different skin tones, so you can actually see how each would look before you buy.

The pros of this palette:

Highly pigmented

Variety of shades

The size of the palette, so this can easily be travelled with

The cons of this palette:

The price

The availability of the product

Overall this palette is amazing and I totally recommend it. It could really become my go to palette. It can create a simple or dramatic look.

Top 5 Mascara’s

Today I’m sharing what my top 5 Mascara’s are:

1. Maybelline Lash Sensational in Black

This gives a voluminous look. And it’s at a great price. £7.99

2. L’Oréal False Lash Sculpt

This also gives my lashes a voluminous look. And it make my bottom lashes look amazing.

3. L’Oréal Voluminous Mascara in Extra Black

This also gives me a great voluminous look. It makes my lashes look very black.

4. Too Face Better Than Sex Mascara

This isn’t that amazing but gives my lashes a good look but sometimes it looks clumpy. But the price of this is a disadvantage.

5. Maybelline False Push Up Mascara

It gives my lashes a good look but not like anything compared to the Lash Sensational. It also doesn’t give my lashes the push up effect.

Skincare Items That I’m Trying Out For My Acne And Combination Skin

My skin type is combination, which means I have both oily and dry skin. My t-zone is oily and the rest of my face tends to be dry. But I have noticed in between my eyebrows I have dry skin.

The products that I have been using are:

Yes to Tomatoes Moisturiser- this product gives me nice hydrated face but not too hydrated that my face looks like an oil slick. The tomatoes fight against my acne.

Elf Daily Moisturiser- this product gives my face hydration, I apply this on my forehead and cheeks for extra hydration.

Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Skin Therapy Oil for Face 30ml- this helps with fine lines, dark spots, uneven skin and ageing skin. I squeeze out 2 drops and massaged it into my face.

Mario Badescu Drying Lotion- I apply this product on my blemishes and current spots. I only apply the smallest amount as the product really drys out the spot.

Where to find these products:
