Review- Maybelline Super Stay Foundation

SuperStay 24h full coverage foundation completely corrects visible flaws and imperfections making it the perfect base for a hi-impact make-up look.
Relentless, all day wear. Lightweight hi-pigment coverage. Flawless transformation.
Skin type: Suitable for all skin types.
Finish: Soft matte.
Coverage: Full
End result: Transform your skin.
Wear: All day wear (up to 24hr)

I used the Bobbi Brown enriched face base as my primer.

The foundation was a bit light so I mixed in the Nyx Foundation Mixer in olive.

To blend the foundation I used a morphe beauty sponge.

The foundation is nearly full coverage as I had add a small amount over my hyperpigmentation.

The foundation is semi matte.

The foundation blends well on my skin and powders blend on top well.

The foundation does last well on my skin through out the day.

The foundation does not oxidize.

I did get slightly oily and I did have to powder.

Long Lasting Makeup

I wanted something full coverage and basic. No eye products. And I wanted it to last long. I wore this Makeup from 10.30am to 7pm.

Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Base- this helps with oil control and I wore this for the first time and it did a good job. It also moisturiser for normal to oily skin.

Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation- my favourite foundation for long lasting makeup.

YSL Fusion Ink Foundation- I really like this foundation and it lightenedup my Estee Lauder foundation.

Colourpop Concealer- tried this for the first time and I like it so far. I used the shades golden and medium.

Rimmel Cream Contour- I used the dark shade to contour and it blended well.

Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Finish Powder- I used shade 2 for under eyes to brighten it up. And shade 3 to set my face.

Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Powder- I also used this powder to set my face and this helps with oil control.

Pixi Contour Kit- my favourite contour palette and the powders are buildable.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Amrezy Highlighter- I’ve tries this highlight a few times and I like it. The formula is buildable.

Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray- my favourite setting spray to set my face.

Nyx micro brow pencil- I’ve been testing this brow pencil and I really like it, it works well for my brows.

Benefit 3D brow gel- my favourite brow gel to set my brows and it keeps my brow hairs in place.

Testing Makeup Revolution

Makeup Revolution Luxury Banana Powder- I definitely don’t like this powder, it looks cakey under my eyes.

Makeup Revolution Conceal and Define Concealer

C10- I like this shade for concealing and highlighting, it has a bit of a peach undertone which helps cancel darkness.

C11- close to my face shade, it is a great shade for concealing blemishes

C12- a tan shade for me, I haven’tused this shade yet.

C15- I didn’t like this shade for a contour, it made me look muddy.

I really like the formula of the concealer, it reminds me of tarte shape tape, but this concealer blends better and it’s affordable.

How I work with this concealer-

I used the applicator and apply it under my eyes

To blend it, I use a beauty sponge

To set it, I used my Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Finish Powder in the shade 2 and I use a sponge to set my concealer with the powder

This concealer is full coverage and lasts well and blends well on my skin.

First- Impression YSL Fusion Ink Foundation

Information on the foundation-

Supermodel skin is yours for the taking.

Yves Saint Laurent Fusion Ink Foundation is a ground-breaking response to a modern beauty demand; the call for trustworthy, perfect coverage and long-wear, but without compromising with a heavy or cakey texture. Yves Saint Laurent has transformed the cosmetic landscape with a cutting-edge, high-efficacy formula, which combines patented advances in texture, colour and active ingredients.

The Texture – Fusion:
Yves Saint Laurent Fusion Ink Foundation contains a combination of sensorial and volatile oils which, upon contact with the skin, evaporate away – leaving only a veil of perfect pigment behind. These oils also make application a deliciously sensorial experience.

– 100% of women find that the product melts on the skin.
– 100% of women feel that the foundation is lightweight and forget they are even wearing it.

As delicate as satin draped across the skin, the revolutionary and featherlight texture allow for a buildable coverage without the caked-on, mask-like effect of long-wear formulas. Yves Saint Laurent Fusion Ink Foundation delivers an SPF 18, and long-lasting superlative comfort.

How I applied the Foundation-

The foundation was a bit light for me, so I mixed in the Nyx foundation mixer in olive to make it a bit darker. The foundation mixer does not change the formula of the foundation.

I applied the foundation with a Morphe Y6 Brush and the foundation has medium coverage.

And I set it with the Vichy loose powder.

The foundation is not heavy at all, it made me look radiant.

It lasted well throughout the day, but it did emphasise my texture.

Overall, I really like this foundation and I will continue using it.

Foundation’s That Didn’t Work Out For Me

1. Huda Beauty Faux Filter Foundation

I’ve tried this foundation 4 times.

This foundation emphasised my dry patches and the fragrance caused me to break out.

2. Fenty Beauty Pro Filter Foundation

Tried this foundation 3 times.

It made me look dry even though I had no dryness, it just made me look cakey.

3. Nyx Total Control Drop Foundation

Tried this foundation 5 times. At first, it looked nice on my skin maybe, due to my skin changing, the foundation was exaggerating my dryness and texture. And the foundation was blending very well.

4. It Cosmetics CC Cream

I tried the foundation once.

The shade Tan made my face look grey.

5. Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Water Foundation

I tried this foundation once.

The shade was a bit too light for me. The formula did not work out for me as it started melting in my t-zone.

What foundation’s didn’t work out for you?

What I Want to See From Makeup Brands

1. A darker Hoola Bronzer for tan, dark, deep skin tones.

The current Hoola Bronzer is around the same shade as my skin tone.

I feel like they need to expand the shade range for that product.

2. A Drugstore Acne Fighting Foundation- In The UK

The acne foundation’s I’ve seen are expensive. And it would be nice to see a drugstore brand do an affordable foundation.

3. More Shades From The Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Finish Powder

There is only 3 shades.

4. More Shades From The L’Óreal Stick Foundation Range

The shade range is odd and not enough shades for tan, dark and deep skin tones.

5. More Shades From The Ex1 Cosmetics Invisiwear Compact Powder

Needs more shades to match the foundation shades.
